In the Making - Shire Tote Bag

Hey friends,

It's been far too long since I have hopped on here to make an update. I am so fortunate to have been so busy in my personal life (having a baby tends to throw life off kilter in the best way possible), that business is admittedly less busy (yet often feels too busy).

My workshop sees less of me these days and crafting is exclusively over naps. In doing so I have been transferring my creative itch to filming my leather craft and hopefully will hone a new skillset in the process. While it may be harder to get into my workshop, I hope that I can showcase what goes into my pieces.

My first in the making showcases the Shire Tote bag.  I first created this piece for myself, as I needed something to bring with me to college. When I first launched this bag on my website, it wasn't a huge success. I couldn't understand why, since every time I wore this bag out I got so many compliments on it (and still do, about 9 years later). I tweaked the design adding a removable and adjustable crossbody strap and top stitch. Now the Shire Tote is one of my best sellers.

I think this bag is so beloved because it is so customizable. The standard of leather and hardware is yours to choose. But most clients opt for custom pockets and sizing, often coming into my workshop to specialize their bag to their specific needs.

Please enjoy the launch of In the Making. And of course, please like, subscribe and comment. It really helps me and my small channel out.
